The former Liverpool midfielder has just had remarkable shares about his former teammate.
Senegal's greatest hope at the 2022 World Cup, Sadio Mane , was officially absent from this year's tournament due to his inability to recover from an injury. Before that, Senegal still hoped for a 'miracle', but in the end, the situation of the former Liverpool star became serious and forced to undergo surgery.

Similar to Mane, his former teammate Mohamed Salah is also unable to participate in this World Cup. But instead of injury, the reason Salah 'stayed at home' came from Mane himself, after Egypt were defeated in a play-off match against Senegal in March, with Mane himself scoring the decisive goal on penalty points.
In a recent exchange, Dejan Lovren, the former Liverpool midfielder joked that Salah would have to envy him for the opportunity to play at this year's World Cup. At the same time, Lovren also mentioned Mane in this sharing. Liverpool Echo quotes the Croatian star:
"100% Salah would envy me."
"What's Salah saying? Saying he's going to support me. I mean, it's great to hear that, but to be honest, I'm sad that he can't be present."
"Salah was close, but Mane was even better. Salah said he was going to the World Cup... with a Croatian flag!"
