Erik ten Hag still believes in Anthony Martial

When asked about Martial's chances of competing at MU, coach Erik ten Hag said the French striker still has his trust.

Martial is still trusted

This season has witnessed the poor form of Anthony Martial. Despite starting the tournament with high expectations, the French striker continued to have problems. Persistent injuries prevented Martial from playing regularly and made coach Erik ten Hag's plans problematic.

There are even rumors that MU will sell Martial this summer. After MU's victory over Fulham, coach Erik ten Hag was asked about the future of the striker born in 1995. He frankly said that he still believes in Martial.

The Mirror quoted ten Hag as saying: "I don't think now is the right time to discuss Martial's future. But I can say that I trust Anthony. Whenever he is healthy, he is always healthy. made a significant contribution to the team as well as improving the club's performance."

Erik ten Hag remains patient with Anthony Martial

Remember, in the 2-1 win over Man City in January, Martial actively asked to play to avoid injury. This is in contrast to Rashford, who suppresses pain and is rewarded with goals. However, coach ten Hag said that Martial cannot be asked to play in the style of another striker.

"Every player is different. As a coach, I need to have a way of dealing with certain players. The process of working with players always needs to be done carefully. I am doing everything to help. Martial returns as soon as possible ," added ten Hag.

MU fans are looking forward to the day Martial returns to play. Currently, the responsibility to score goals is placed heavily on Marcus Rashford's shoulders. If Martial can play regularly, coach ten Hag will have many options to rotate on the attack.
