According to reports from Foot Mercato, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the future of young talent Elye Wahi. The French morning star convinced the experts by his impressive performance with Montpellier. Since debuting the Ligue 1 team in 2020, Wahi owns 20 goals in 73 appearances.
Wahi is considered by experts to be one of the most outstanding young talents playing in Ligue 1. The striker born in 2003 is valued at around £26.5 million. Wahi can play well in any position on the attack.
Montpellier is likely to only agree to release in the summer of 2023. Therefore, Arsenal will promote the deal when the summer transfer window opens.
Besides Wahi, another striker who is playing in Ligue 1 in Arsenal's sights is Jonathan David. In the 2020/2021 season, David shines on Lille's journey to the Ligue 1 championship. The Canadian striker contributed 13 goals and 3 assists after 37 appearances.
Lille club values David between 50 million and 60 million euros. The number challenges the financial potential of Arsenal and many other teams.
