Brazilian players paid their respects to soccer king Pele after he was admitted to hospital in bad condition earlier this week.

The living icon of Brazilian football, Pele was hospitalized earlier this week after stopping responding to chemotherapy while battling bowel cancer.
After a strong 4-1 victory over South Korea in the round of 16 , the Brazilian players and fans paid tribute to Pele by carrying many banners, posters containing pictures and messages. nice to the 82 year old legend.
And even though he is in the hospital, Pele still pays special attention to the yellow and green jersey team as he cheers on the samba dancers through the small screen. Sharing on Twitter, the legendary former Santos striker said:
"In 1958, I was walking down the street thinking about fulfilling my promise to my father. I know that today many people have made similar promises and are also looking for their first World Cup title. I'll be watching the match from the hospital and cheering for each one of you. Good luck!"
Pele stayed in the hospital for an entire week after falling ill with a worsening infection. Some information said that Pele has moved to the hospice. However, his family has denied these rumors and released an update on his positive health condition.
Pele's daughter, Kely Nascimento, said: "My dad is sick and old, but he's still there because of an infection. And once he feels better, he'll go home."
Pele's other daughter, Flavia, added: "It's not fair that people say my dad is in the final stages of his life in intensive care. That's not true. Believe us."
